Test av produkter och kemikalier

Oberoende teknisk utvärdering av produkter och kemikalier, utförd på system i drift och under kontrollerade laboratorieförhållanden.

Nunchi Training Academy provides specialized testing and technical evaluation of products and chemicals for automotive air conditioning, heat pump, and thermal management systems.

Our testing can be performed under live operating conditions on vehicles and complete systems, as well as under controlled laboratory conditions, depending on the product, chemical, application, and testing requirements.

The objective is to provide an independent technical evaluation of whether a product or chemical meets the expected quality, performance, functionality, compatibility, durability, and application requirements.

Live Testing – Real-World Performance

Live testing allows products and chemicals to be evaluated under real automotive operating conditions.

Depending on the application, testing can be performed on vehicles, complete A/C systems, heat pump systems, or dedicated test installations.

Live testing can include:

  • Product functionality
  • Cooling and heating performance
  • Pressure and temperature behavior
  • System efficiency
  • Refrigerant flow and control
  • Compressor performance
  • Heat exchanger performance
  • Valve operation and response
  • Sensor accuracy and response
  • Noise and vibration
  • Installation and fitment
  • Performance under different operating conditions
  • Chemical performance and compatibility
  • Oil circulation and lubrication
  • UV-dye performance and visibility
  • Additive performance
  • Refrigerant performance
  • Comparison with OEM, original, or reference products

The objective is to determine how the product or chemical actually performs when used under realistic operating conditions.

Laboratory Testing – Controlled & Measurable

Laboratory testing provides the opportunity to evaluate products and chemicals under controlled and repeatable conditions.

Depending on the test requirements, different operating conditions can be simulated and important parameters measured, compared, and documented.

Laboratory testing can include:

  • Performance testing
  • Pressure testing
  • Temperature testing
  • Flow testing
  • Leakage testing
  • Vacuum testing
  • Electrical testing
  • Product response testing
  • Material and construction evaluation
  • Contamination testing
  • Oil and refrigerant compatibility
  • Chemical compatibility
  • Repeated operating cycles
  • Comparison testing
  • Failure analysis

Controlled testing makes it possible to compare different products and chemicals under consistent conditions, helping identify differences in quality, efficiency, functionality, compatibility, and performance.

Quality & Performance Verification

Products and chemicals that appear similar can perform very differently once introduced into a working automotive A/C or heat pump system.

Our testing therefore focuses on evaluating whether the product or chemical delivers the expected:

  • Quality
  • Performance
  • Functionality
  • Efficiency
  • Reliability
  • Compatibility
  • Safety
  • Durability

Testing can be performed against manufacturer specifications, OEM or reference products, technical requirements, or agreed performance criteria, where applicable.

Chemical Testing

Nunchi Training Academy also provides specialized testing and technical evaluation of chemicals and consumables used within automotive A/C and heat pump systems.

This can include:

  • PAG, POE, PVE, PAO and other compressor oils
  • UV leak detection dyes
  • A/C and heat pump additives
  • Lubrication and performance additives
  • Cleaning and flushing products
  • Refrigerants
  • Alternative and replacement refrigerants
  • Other service chemicals

Testing can focus on performance, compatibility, stability, application, system behavior, and potential effects on the complete A/C or heat pump system.

Oil Testing

Testing of compressor oils can include evaluation of:

  • Lubrication performance
  • Viscosity
  • Oil circulation
  • Refrigerant compatibility
  • Material compatibility
  • Moisture sensitivity
  • Thermal stability
  • Electrical insulation considerations for electric compressors
  • Mixing with other oil technologies
  • Influence on compressor and system performance
  • UV-Dye & Additive Testing

UV dyes and additives can be tested to determine their effectiveness and compatibility with the complete system.

Testing can include:

  • UV visibility and detection performance
  • Correct concentration and dosage
  • Oil compatibility
  • Refrigerant compatibility
  • Lubrication effects
  • Chemical stability
  • System circulation
  • Potential influence on valves and restrictions
  • Effects on service and recovery equipment
  • Long-term system considerations
  • Refrigerant Testing & Evaluation

Refrigerants can be evaluated under controlled and real-world operating conditions to compare their behavior and performance.

Testing can include:

  • Cooling and heating capacity
  • Operating pressures
  • Operating temperatures
  • Compressor behavior
  • Energy consumption
  • System efficiency
  • Refrigerant charge quantity
  • Oil compatibility
  • Component and material compatibility
  • System control behavior
  • Comparison with the original refrigerant

Special projects can also evaluate alternative and replacement refrigerants, including refrigerants such as R456A and R444A, where technically and legally applicable.

Comparative Product & Chemical Testing

Nunchi can perform side-by-side comparison testing between different products, chemicals, brands, or suppliers.

For example, an aftermarket product can be compared with an OEM or reference product, while an oil, UV dye, additive, or refrigerant can be compared with an established reference product under the same test conditions.

Comparative testing can provide manufacturers, suppliers, and distributors with valuable technical information for:

  • Product selection
  • Supplier evaluation
  • Quality control
  • Product development
  • Performance verification
  • New product introduction
  • Technical documentation
  • Troubleshooting and failure investigation
  • Products We Can Test

Depending on the available equipment and application, testing can include:

  • Mechanical and electric compressors
  • Condensers and gas coolers
  • Evaporators and chillers
  • Internal heat exchangers
  • Coolant/refrigerant heat exchangers
  • Receiver driers and accumulators
  • Expansion valves
  • Electronic expansion valves
  • Solenoid and multi-way valves
  • Pressure and temperature sensors
  • Pumps and fans
  • Refrigerant hoses and pipes
  • Seals and connections
  • Service tools and equipment
  • Compressor oils
  • UV dyes
  • Additives
  • Refrigerants
  • Other automotive thermal management products and chemicals
  • Failure Analysis & Technical Investigation

Testing can also be used when a product or chemical fails, performs below expectations, or is suspected of causing problems in the field.

Our technical investigation can focus on identifying the possible root cause through system measurements, product inspection, performance testing, contamination analysis, chemical evaluation, and comparison with known-good reference products.

This can help determine whether a problem originates from the product, chemical, incorrect application, installation, contamination, system conditions, or interaction between different products and chemicals.

Test Documentation & Technical Reporting

Testing can be supported by technical documentation showing the test conditions, procedures, measurements, observations, results, and conclusions.

Depending on the project, the final evaluation can include:

  • Test objectives and criteria
  • Product or chemical identification
  • Test setup and conditions
  • Measurements and recorded data
  • Photographs and observations
  • Performance comparisons
  • Identified issues
  • Technical conclusions
  • Recommendations for improvement

This provides customers with a structured technical basis for quality control, supplier evaluation, product development, troubleshooting, and purchasing decisions.

From Product to Proven Performance

The purpose of Nunchi testing is not simply to determine whether a product or chemical works.

The objective is to understand how well it works, how it interacts with the complete system, how it performs under realistic conditions, how it compares with reference products, and whether it meets the required level of quality and performance.

By combining real-world automotive experience with controlled laboratory testing, Nunchi can help manufacturers, suppliers, distributors, and industry partners make better-informed technical and product decisions.
